Recreation Workers – Summer Student Positions

(Access Support Worker)

We are seeking up to two Recreation Workers to perform work over the summer in support of a variety of recreation programs in our community with special interest and experience in integrating children and youth with varying abilities into a variety of programs. The successful applicants will have knowledge of the fundamentals of program leadership and experience in planning, implementing and supporting programs and activities and in adapting activities to meet the needs of clients of all ages. Incumbents will be skilled in promoting interest and encouraging participation in program activities and in involving participants in identifying and evaluating programs.

The successful candidates will have completed grade 12 supplemented by courses related to the work, plus experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. You must be willing to work various shifts, Monday through Sunday, 5:45am – 10:15pm as scheduled.

The term for these positions is June until the end of August (to be confirmed)

***These positions are partially funded by the Government of Canada Summer Jobs 2023 Program which stipulates that all applicants must be under 30 years old and available to work full-time hours July - August***

Access Support Worker $20.35 (+10% in lieu of benefits)
