Job Summary

The Product Manager, Admin Experience (Identity, Security, and Trust), will serve a critical role as, a key domain expert and thought leader, who will spearhead and implement opportunities for driving growth across our platform. You will own the roadmap for features that related to identity and access management, security and trust (e.g. certifications and compliance, security and shared responsibility policies), related auditing capabilities, internal fraud detection and risk management services, and in general understanding and evolving the product to meet the needs of our "admin" focused user group.

Responsibilities

  • Own Equinix Metal’s Admin Experience backlog and roadmap, guiding our teams towards a best-in-class experience

  • Take responsibility for the roadmap and investigation of any required / desired certifications in partnership with operations and engineering; serve as primary lead for any internal or external certification audits / processes

  • Drive the Equinix Metal IAM and user access / audit capability set to satisfy our demanding customer base

  • Align with the Platform Engineering team to ensure we are effectively capitalizing and leveraging the most important centralized services related to identity and authentication

  • Partner with Engineering teams to ensure they are building solutions that solve our customers’ (internal and external) respective problems

  • Partner with Marketing and customer facing teams to ensure platform level features are being properly represented and documented for full and self-service motions

  • Act as a thought leader for defining what’s next, including engagement of external partners / 3rd parties to identify strategic partnership opportunities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in product management in XaaS or a master’s degree and 3 years’ experience; IaaS experience is highly preferred

  • Experience building, or deep familiarity with administrator and security experiences, solutions, and features for “cloudy”, digital infrastructure-oriented products (consumed by devops, application, or modern software defined networking-oriented engineers) is strongly preferred.

  • Understanding and appreciation for the needs of infrastructure and cloud service administrators

  • Strong opinions on balancing risk, velocity, and innovation as it pertains to prioritization and managing customer and stakeholder expectations

  • Driven, with a strong sense of ownership, initiative, and an entrepreneurial spirit

  • Experienced in communicating cross organization with stakeholders of varying degrees of technical acumen

  • A natural public speaker and community builder; a facile and proactive communicator across various mediums

  • An attentive listener that can identify opportunities, and lead teams towards aligned action

  • Cloud security related certifications strongly preferred

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

  • San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $111,000 to $185,000

  • California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $104,000 to $172,000

  • Colorado, Nevada, Rhode Island: $94,000 to $156,000

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
