LIFEGUARDS (FULL TIME)

35 HOURS /WEEK FOR 8 WEEKS

MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE

The City of Corner Brook is presently accepting applications for the temporary summer positions of Lifeguards with the Recreation Division. The successful applicants must possess a First Aid/CPR certificate and Lifeguarding Certificate. Experience in lifeguarding is required. A Certificate of Conduct is mandatory prior to commencement of employment. Applicants must be 16 years of age by July 1st, 2023.

The successful applicant must meet the eligibility for funding under the Canada Summer Jobs Program. Applicants must be between 15 to 30 years of age at the start of employment (16 Years by July 1, 2023, for lifeguards). Applicants must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment. The successful candidate must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
