The Audit Information Management and Safety of Integrated Justice Services is seeking a reliable and conscientious individual to provide processing and research support in a high-volume work environment with tight deadlines.

In this position, you will focus on processing access to information requests received by both the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General and the Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety. You will be responsible for logging requests, initiating search requests for records, tracking search progress, identifying exemptions within responsive material, severing the material according to program direction and legislated requirements, and preparing responses.

You will bring experience dealing with sensitive and confidential information. You will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to a wide range of audiences throughout the Ministry, which includes facilitation of group training and/or workshops. You will provide ongoing research support to senior staff within the branch in the areas of Access and Privacy in accordance with The Freedom of Information and Protection and Privacy Act and The Health Information Protection Act, related research of The Office of the Saskatchewan Privacy Commissioner Reviews, and/or assist in research involving potential Privacy Investigations.

You will also be responsible for maintaining office processes and procedures. You will be assisting with mail, filing, records management, and administrative functions for the branch including providing administrative support where needed. Experience working with Adobe Acrobat DC and Microsoft Office Suite of applications in order to design, format and/or modify complex documents is required.

Responsibilities will also include facilitating the transfer of Ministry records to off-site storage, initiating and managing the record disposition process in compliance with The Archives and Public Records Management Act. You will be responsible for explaining government-wide and Ministry procedures and guidelines related to records and information management regardless of media. You will be assisting branches in the development of electronic records and paper filing systems, and you will provide records and information management training to individuals and groups.

Hours of Work : A - SGEU Office 36 - one day off every two weeks
