Your primary focus is the evolution of technologies and ensure the proper management of infrastructure, servers, networking, application support and database administration to optimize ODA's IT systems. You will also be a key player in strategic projects by identifying, recommending, implementing, and managing technology solutions to enable the organization to achieve its business objectives.At the ODA, our success depends on IT systems that help us reach our members all over the province. We're seeking an experienced systems administrator who's eager to further develop technological skills. This person will protect our critical systems and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in developing the overall IT strategy. From early on, the systems administrator will empower breakthrough innovations, take on challenging assignments, lead initiatives, and be responsible for results. The administrator will also receive world-class training to become a leader in the field. The ideal candidate is passionate about applying skills and expertise to a technology-based business model that creates real-world solutions.ResponsibilitiesPractically speaking you will: * Maintain applications including online databases and web services* Maintain and run queries against corporate data sets to answer key business questions.* Analyze complex business problems and assess how to implement automated systems.* Assist with supporting Microsoft products and services such as Windows servers and applications, including Exchange, Active Directory, application servers and file servers* Perform hardware and software installations, configurations, and updates as needed* Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards.* Serve as a liaison between the business and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.You're perfect for this position because you can analyze complex needs and convey them in openly accessible terms. Your knowledge of system administration means you understand each minute detail, while understanding how larger systems interact with one another.Working at ODA This is a full-time permanent position paying a competitive salary, commensurate with experience. Qualifications * 5+ years of experience in SQL Server * Previous experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences* Minimum 5 years of experience with Microsoft 365 platform including Exchange Online, Intune, Defender, SharePoint/OneDrive, etc.* Knowledge of principles of database design, data acquisition and data access analysis and design* Experience using Azure SQL / MI and SQL Server* Experience with programming and scripting languages (e.g. SQL, Python,) Nice to Have* Strong communication skills* Post secondary education in Computer Science or related discipline is preferred How to Apply Our online application will give you the option to apply to this role as a complete person – not just a resume.
