New Job Respite Worker In Alberta

We are looking for someone to provide private respite for our 13-year old daughter, in-home, on a casual basis. Availability on Saturday and/or Sunday afternoon/evenings is a MUST, plus the possibility of other afternoon /evenings during the week, as one of our aides is moving on to her new career.

Our daughter has Rett Syndrome and requires assistance with feeding, changing, stretches and exercise, play, etc. She is non-verbal and non-mobile, so lifting is involved (she’s 60lbs). As comfort levels increase we may require assistance with appointments or pick up from school.

She is a happy girl, loves music, swimming, and spending time with her siblings (2 younger) and friends.

Qualifications: Must be 18 or older, drivers license, reliable, flexible, first-aid training is preferable but not necessary. Must be able to provide references and criminal record check upon request.

Job Type: Casual

Salary: $16.00-$19.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Evening shift

• Medicine Hat, AB T1B 4B7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
