This is a full-time term, anticipatory permanent position working 75 hours bi-weekly.

Reporting to the Director, Corporate Policy, Community Services, the Legislative and Program Analyst is responsible for supporting the Department by leading legislative sitting preparations and management of session materials; assisting the Branch in policy (program, corporate and legislative) research, analysis, planning, development and evaluation; occasional administrative back-up, financial and executive assistance to and as directed by the Assistant Deputy Minister of Corporate Policy and Consumer Affairs and the Director of Corporate Policy.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience drafting, coordinating and managing the process for the preparation of session and briefing materials to support the Minister;

  • Experience monitoring the Legislative Assembly, analyzing debates and preparing summaries of salient information;

  • Experience performing research and analysis on departmental projects;

  • Experience providing administrative support (processing internal mail, routing decision documents and updating the tracking system, and supporting the completion of caseworks).

Candidates who have education, training and experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above will be equally considered.
