As a Human Resources (HR) Analyst, you will partner with clients to provide job documentation support as a result of the implementation of Business Unit specific reorganization initiatives. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: completing job documentation, updating existing and/or writing new job evaluation questionnaires (JEQ), updating existing and/or writing new jobs, and advising on job design. Primary duties include:
  • Participate in multiple job evaluation systems which align pay levels for positions across The Corporation.
  • Complete job documentation, update existing and/or write new job evaluation questionnaire (JEQs), and write new job requirements.
  • Provide guidance and training to clients who are documenting their job requirements.
  • Deliver job documentation services for new or changing jobs often resulting from reorganization.
  • Conduct job analysis and prepare positions for evaluation by the applicable corporate job evaluation committee.
  • Consult with business clients and HR colleagues on a variety of compensation policy and program matters.
  • Act as a member of the compensation network, understanding trends, developments, and best practices relating to compensation and rewards.
  • Advise Planning and Development Services leaders on the interpretation and application of corporate HR policies, collective agreements, governance and applicable legislation.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Human Resources, Commerce/Business, Social Sciences, or related field and a minimum of 4 years of related HR experience.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • A Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation and/or a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation would be considered an asset.
  • Preference will be given to individuals with experience in compensation, including job evaluation, policy and/or program design, and market surveying and analysis.
  • Success in this position requires the ability to work under general direction, take initiative and have well developed communication skills to synthesize information.
  • A strong client service orientation and the ability to work effectively individually or within a team is essential.

Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week earning 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
