Alberta Innovates is seeking a Business Partner that will be working with our Health Innovation team. The Business Partner will play a significant role in supporting the design, implementation, and operation of the Health Innovation business unit through data collection/analysis, organizing, planning and facilitating the development of common processes, tools and guidance documents, and a seamless exchange of information that meet the needs of stakeholders with the aim of ensuring that Alberta Innovates Health Innovation team is engaging in data-enabled decision-making and reporting on the value generated by its investments.

Job Details
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Develop and support efficient processes for creating program reports and evidence-based strategy development, ensuring a streamlined approach to data collection and analysis.
Implement qualitative and quantitative data collection methods, collaborating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, and facilitate interviews and focus groups to gather valuable insights.
Collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to implement the Programs quantitative and qualitative data collection process including primary data forms, survey disbursement, facilitation of interviews and focus groups.
Conduct ongoing data and information analysis, including the use of counterfactuals and benchmarks, and respond to ad hoc reporting requests, providing well-informed insights.
Provide expert advice, information, and recommendations to the Health Innovation Team, contributing to the overall success of the program.
Stay informed on industry trends, key macro, and microeconomic issues, and maintain a broad understanding of Alberta's industries, government, and agencies to integrate insights into strategic and operational planning.
Develop and implement processes to measure and monitor program effectiveness, including trend analysis, KPIs, and dashboards, and analyze the performance and impact of the program to develop strategies for improvement.
Implement processes to measure and monitor the Programs’ overall effectiveness in meeting stated goals, including, the design and development of monthly management reporting such as KPIs and Dashboards.
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, industry colleagues, and government representatives to facilitate collaboration, remain current on industry best practices, and identify emerging trends in data compilation and analytics, while remaining current on industry best practices.

Qualifications and skills we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Commerce or a related discipline
Have 2-5 years of experience in a research and innovation administration environment
Minimum 5 years of experience with methodologies for quantitative, qualitative, and financial analysis
Demonstrated ability to interpret and synthesize information from a variety of sources including financial and other indicators.
Demonstrated ability analyzing and communicating complex situations.
Experience in development and maintenance of tools for monitoring strategy and program management
Experience in change management associated with complex corporate activities.
Experience in the design, delivery, collection, analysis, and presentation of diverse data sets
Advanced computer skills including reporting, dashboard and presentation tools.
Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking, clear analysis and resulting recommendations for an executive audience.
Planning and priority management skills
Strong quantitative and quantitative evaluation and analytical skills
Teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
Exceptional verbal, written, listening and interpersonal skills to convey concepts and information.
Demonstrated initiative, strong organization and project management skills.
Adaptable and able to meet and exceed deadlines.
