The Community Sector Council Newfoundland and Labrador (CSCNL) is a registered charitable organization which promotes social and economic well-being, fosters volunteerism, strengthens nonprofit organizational capacity, cultivates leadership development and encourages social innovation.

CSCNL requires a full-time Senior Program Associate in the St. John's office to start up, implement and manage techKNOWtutors - CSCNL's teaching and training program aimed at populations who need assistance to get online, including youth, seniors and persons living with disabilities. This position must be filled with a self-starter who likes to interact with all ages and can train trainers on how to increase digital literacy skills using a broad array of software and online applications. Social media savvy welcome. Knowledge of assistive technologies and online security measures would be definite assets.

Considerable knowledge of interactive technologies, online applications and Internet skills to support daily living and working. As a startup, we need someone who can research and report on needs in the community and understands evaluation methods and reporting on deadline. Strong writing skills are essential. Knowledge needed of volunteer recruitment and retention, community or neighbourhood outreach and in-reach techniques, promotional and marketing skills. Experience with distance learning methods would be a definite asset. Graphic design experience would be an asset as would experience with promoting community-based events in traditional and non-traditional media. We are seeking someone with experience in recruiting and supervising team members. A background in technology teaching, supported by a university degree in a technology or education field, would be ideal.

Employment Conditions
This is a full-time contractual position based in St. John's, renewable annually until March 2025. Salary range $60,000 to $70,000 per annum depending on qualifications. The successful candidate will be eligible for group health and dental benefits, an employer matched pension plan and a flexible work environment.

Candidates must be available to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends. A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle preferred. Some travel. A Certificate of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Record Check must be provided prior to employment. Employment to commence immediately.
