New Job Project Engineer In Saskatchewan

The Ministry of Highways is seeking a Project Engineer with strong organizational and communication skills to join the Central Operations, Traffic Engineering and Development in Saskatoon.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated and has 1-3 years of experience in traffic engineering. The successful candidate will serve as an integral member of the Traffic Engineering and Development team responsible for planning and operating the transportation system. Your key responsibility will be performing safety assessments, making recommendations for approval, and communicating results of your work to stakeholders.

You will have the ability to examine and appropriately provide information to the general public on such issues as traffic policies and standards and traffic operations. You will have knowledge of traffic, hydraulic, geometric design, construction engineering principles and methodologies; and the ability to access, enter, update and maintain data. You will be capable of conducting site visits and using information gathered in the field to provide recommendations for solutions to engineering problems.

The ideal candidate will possess a BSc. Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent and be eligible for registration in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS).

Overnight travel will be on as needed basis. Day travel will be expected.
