Labourer II - Parks

Time Durated (Temporary) Full Time Position

We are seeking a versatile and skilled individual to perform a diverse range of manual work related to maintenance and construction in our City parks, trails and green spaces.

We are looking for a positive individual able to make meaningful contributions to our existing team.

Reporting to and supporting the Manager of Parks, this position is responsible for functions such as grass cutting, gardening and field and building maintenance. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable operating light equipment such as hand and power tools and understand the importance of maintaining a strong safety culture.

In addition to experience in parks maintenance, applicants must possess the physical stamina to work outdoors in all weather, have excellent interpersonal skills, and embrace our vision of maintaining and enhancing Pitt Meadows’ natural beauty.

The successful candidate is required to have:

  • High school diploma and some related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Parks maintenance related training certifications.
  • St. John Ambulance First Aid Certificate or equivalent.
  • Driver’s License for the Province of British Columbia.


This is a full time CUPE position with a salary of $30.52 per hour, plus benefits.
