Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Treasury Operations, for Brookfield Renewable’s Business Service Group, the Finance Analyst will participate in the day-to-day activities of Treasury operations, bank account management, and support process improvement initiatives. The Group is responsible for capital planning and managing Brookfield’s insurance claims and renewals processes.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and managing the company’s daily liquidity position; preparing wires for internal funding and external payments
  • Assisting in the administration of the treasury management system and in preparing bank account documentation;
  • Act as a key resource for integrating treasury and capital planning functions to adhere to policies and procedures;
  • Preparing letters of credit requests and loan drawdown documents;
  • Managing and executing draws, repayments, and rollovers on the corporate credit facility;
  • Preparing monthly/quarterly financial, compliance and performance reports;
  • Preparing flow of funds documentation in settlement of acquisitions or financings;
  • Preparing monthly and annual operation level cash flow forecasts and recommending distribution amounts;
  • Supporting ad hoc projects and or programs in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Advanced quantitative and analytical abilities required;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced team environment and to adapt quickly to changing priorities;
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint; ability to learn how to use new systems quickly
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English; bilingualism (English/French) is an asset;
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to deal professionally with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Ability to think and work independently and be proactive in using internal and external resources to achieve results.

Qualifications

  • University degree in business or related field (Accounting/Finance);
  • Accounting/finance designation (CFA, CPA or CTP) or pursuit of accounting/finance designation is an asset;
  • Experience in a treasury related function is an asset;
  • Experience using or configuring a treasury management system is an asset.
