Compugen is seeking a Program Manager for a 1 year contract working remotely. T he Program Manager oversees the daily activities of the extended delivery teams associated with Project, to ensure timely and quality outcomes within specified timeframes, budget, scope, and program objectives.
Responsibilities:
The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring Project program success by coordinating across extended delivery teams to identify, mitigate, and resolve cross project interdependencies, risks, issues, and resourcing challenges. The Program Manager provides support to the Program Director by managing day-to-day roadblocks and issues at an early stage, as well as developing and recommending actions and plans to overcome issues which may result in potential delays or cost overruns.
  • Working with the Project Management Office, ensures that the overall program structure and program management processes enable project teams to successfully complete their work. Ensures projects are planned and executed in a high-quality, consistent manner, and are executed using established standards and processes.
  • Provides project management leadership across projects (including system integrator led aspects), oversight of the compliance to the project charter, integration of project plans and schedules, and regular reporting to the Program Director.

  • Contributes to the development and management of project charters, project plans, budgets, issues, and risk management plans consistent with
  • Project Management Office requirements.
  • Works with Project Managers/Program Stream Leads to define the work that needs to be completed and coordinates outcomes with Operational Business Champions.
  • Ensures Program Streams are staying on the critical path by forecasting and managing deviation.
  • Ensures risk mitigations and contingency plans are in place and actions are happening as required. Works with Project Managers/Program Stream Leads to ensure risks are clearly identified. Follows up on issues, ensures actions are taken in a timely manner, tracked, and resolved or escalated as required to ensure that program timelines are met.
  • Takes a program level view of all identified risks and issues, identifying cross dependencies among the various projects, and actions steps to mitigate, manage, and resolve risks and issues.
  • Establishes and maintains a close working relationship with key stakeholders, obtaining commitment to the success of the program and its projects.
  • Monitors and reports on the overall program status, including participation in Project Governance Vendor program reviews, interviews, and assessment exercises.
  • Participates in procurement activities, in concert with client’s Vendor Management team, to secure partner resources.
  • Ensures Project is properly resourced by way of working with resource management to plan and secure required skills and expertise for the program, being mindful and ensuring internal resources are prioritized for knowledge transfer and cost management.
  • Assists with onboarding of program resources and directs reassignments of resources as required.
Qualifications:
Education:
  • Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or Computer Science.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, designation or equivalent.
  • Supplementary courses related to Project Management i.e. Risk Management, Program Management, Agile Project Management, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) are an asset.
Experience:
  • Eight years’ experience leading complex projects, including implementation, business process re-engineering, systems integration, data migration and organizational change management including two years of management experience.
  • Experience managing large-scale, high impact, multi-year projects via a hybrid agile, and agile system delivery lifecycle method.
  • Experience leading projects for financial and insurance system transformations is an asset.
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
  • A proven track record of success with large project implementations.
  • In-depth knowledge of information technology management, including hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of and ability to execute a variety of program and project methodologies, including Agile delivery.
  • Proven ability to apply the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) with respect to agile project delivery
  • Proven capabilities in the area of project management with the ability to plan and manage all aspects of multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to clearly convey complex information in a concise and straightforward manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with successful experience in public speaking and making formal presentations.
  • Proven ability to handle conflict and criticism in a positive and professional manner.
  • Advanced knowledge of development and testing functions to align team activities with successful program outcomes.
  • Proven ability to adapt to, and effectively contribute to, rapid business transformation.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate high level analytical skills and problem solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of business computer applications and PC skills for basic document preparation and statistical/financial/cost benefit analysis.
  • Results–oriented work ethic.
  • Demonstrated experience in the application of technology in support of business needs.
  • Understanding of the insurance and/or the public automobile insurance business.
  • Mentoring and training skills and experience.
