WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Responsible for accurately and timely payment of all vendor accounts from purchase orders and incoming invoices
  • Process invoices by reviewing for propriety, GL account coding, and post to the accounting system
  • Prepare and process AP journal entries
  • Process weekly payment runs and payments via cheque and EFT
  • Compile employee expense accounts and process payments via cheque, EFT, or payroll direct deposit
  • Prepare monthly analysis of expense accounts with the view to cost-saving opportunities (e.g. credit card processing, telecommunication costs, etc.)
  • Maintain various related working papers (e.g. prepaid & deposits, property & equipment, etc.)
  • Complete wire payments and file all payables and related material
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of credit card statements
  • Effectively communicate, assist and collaborate with all internal and external clients; Take ownership of issues and ensure a successful resolution
  • Maintain effective and timely communication with all internal/external stakeholders
  • Assist with maintenance of vendor master data
  • Perform New accounts process, following insurance, WCB and tax registration requirements
  • General Account Analytical skills


WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

  • 2+ years experience in general accounting and/or accounts payable accounting capacity
  • Competent with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Sound knowledge of GST compliance applicable to expense processing
  • Excellent English verbal & written communication skills
  • Self-starter who can work autonomously but also collaboratively as part of a team
