On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Corporate Citizenship Manager to join their team of dedicated professionals in Saint John, New Brunswick. This is a unique opportunity where the successful candidate will play an important part in all Ocean Capital's community engagement activities including events and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for engagement activities with the members of the community at large.
  • Manage all public relations activities and requests.
  • Work with their businesses on activities and projects.
  • Monitor and brief Executives of upcoming community events, attendees, and organize participation requirements.
  • Social Media Monitoring, including analyzing all media coverage of the organization and drafting appropriate responses.
  • Management and Administration activities for a private foundation.
  • Review and assess various philanthropy requests.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of in-house memoranda, press releases, presentations, and coordination with third parties on communications on behalf of their companies.
  • Gather and analyze certain measurable metrics that may indicate the success an event, campaign, or other activity.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Undergraduate degree or community college diploma with the right blend of experience.
  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience in a public relations or community focused position.
  • Previous work experience to demonstrate superior communication and writing skills, problem solving skills and a keen eye on attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to collaborate and influence at various levels of the organization.
  • A successful candidate would be highly organized, self-motivated and able to manage their time based on priorities and deadlines.
  • Good judgment and interpretation of situations which require further action or decisions.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks being managed concurrently.
  • Understanding and appreciation of the confidential nature of the position.
  • Experience in an executive office would be a definite asset.
  • Community Involvement and Board representation in the greater Saint John Area considered an asset.
