Description:
The City of Port Coquitlam is currently accepting applications from enthusiastic, energetic and qualified individuals interested in casual building maintenance opportunities with the City.

This is manual to semi-skilled work performing maintenance and janitorial tasks related to the operation of public recreation facilities. The successful incumbent will be responsible for performing a variety of janitorial and basic building maintenance and repair tasks and assists with the operation of specialized equipment found in assigned facilities. The incumbent of this position must be available to work a variety of shifts including graveyards, mornings, afternoons, evenings & weekend shifts.

Requirements for this position are:

  • A positive, can do attitude;
  • self-motivated and proactive;
  • Have superior problem-solving skills; and
  • A Building Service Worker Certificate (approved minimum 16-hour course, i.e. RFABC).

The 2022 rate of pay for this casual position is $30.29 per hour (plus 12% in lieu of vacation and statutory holidays). The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement.
