Employment Type : Permanent Full-time
Location(s) : SK-Rgna-Regina
Ministry : 013 Saskbuilds and Procurement
Salary Range : $7,049 - $9,165 Monthly
Grade : MCP.07.

The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement is seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual with excellent interpersonal skills to join the Building Services Branch of the Operations and Services Delivery Division as the Manager of Infrastructure Renewal.

Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure, this position will assist in the development of the ministry’s provincial Capital and Major Maintenance Program. Through careful evaluation of the ministry's Facility Condition information, our ideal candidate would strive to improve the Facility Condition Index (F.C.I) of the portfolio of facilities owned and operated by the ministry.

By analyzing capital and major maintenance projects, this position requires the integration of facility condition assessments, ministry strategic plans, and key customer long-range plans to set goals to reduce the amount of deferred maintenance in the portfolio of facilities. You will also work with the branch and with stakeholders, such as Regional Operations and Regional Planners, on developing and delivering maintenance initiatives to develop a strategy that aligns with key customer plans to ensure strategic investments in facilities.

Our candidate of choice will be a proactive and strategic thinker able to research and apply set criteria and methodologies for the evaluation of projects. This requirement is to ensure the ministry has an accountable and defendable program for the prioritization of projects inclusive of scope determination, schedule, and budget.

Your understanding of projects must include engineering, design, legal, and construction. This is imperative to understand the needs and scope of a project and how it will meet all stakeholder needs. In addition, you will need the understanding of what other improvements can be achieved at the same time to produce economies of scale and the best value for the taxpayer.

Identification of these projects will ensure the best values are achieved. Proper identification will ensure the ministry is managing all risks associated with its facilities and that all facilities are safe and meet the needs of its customers.

Our candidate of choice will have excellent communication and keyboarding skills, outstanding attention to detail to ensure accuracy and the ability to multitask and work unsupervised. You must be able to work in a team environment and a professional engineering designation in one of the Building Sciences fields would be considered an asset.
