The Talent Acquisition team is looking for a motivated, innovative and experienced talent acquisition expert to support a portfolio of client groups. As a Consultant - Talent Acquisition, you will execute on sourcing strategies, build strong pipelines, and provide a best in class candidate experience. In addition, you'll partner directly with hiring managers to build teams that are diverse and inclusive.


With your considerable experience executing end to end recruitment processes, you will provide guidance and support to hiring managers in the development of assessment processes and tools, carry out applicant screening, conduct phone interviews, arrange candidate interviews, manage the job offer process and create an exceptional candidate and hiring experience.


As Consultant – Talent Acquisition you will identify and engage with both passive and active talent through the use of Boolean, LinkedIn, Social Media, and creative search techniques. Professionally reaching out and engaging with prospective candidates, ensuring timelines for responsiveness are met, you will assess and hire a diverse pool of candidates for leadership and hard to fill/critical positions, promoting the City of Toronto brand and the City's Diversity and Inclusion agenda. Specifically with your advanced interpersonal skills, you will build relationships with hiring managers, candidates and potential future talent.


Collaborating with the Manager, Talent Acquisition, Senior Consultants, Consultants, etc., you will work to identify and develop talent acquisition gaps and devise innovative solutions to address talent shortages. With your demonstrated progressive and successful sourcing/research experience into diverse candidate markets, you will build, present and utilize multiple channels to source candidates including develop social media talent communities and campaigns, participate in virtual job fairs and events, network with community, professional and other associations. In addition you will utilize various tools to provide talent market insights and data to influence decision making.


As Consultant Talent Acquisition, you will utilize your considerable experience developing a pipeline that generates strategic and differentiated candidates to meet the future talent needs of the multiple lines of business at the City. Including the preparation of sourcing plans, you will develop pipelines for critical and hard to fill roles, while also maintaining relationships and engage with potential talent.


Utilizing social media, technology and other tools, you will promote the City as an employer of choice on multiple social media platforms and professional networks. Further you will positively engage with the community demonstrating a commitment to diversity, human rights, accessibility and equity.
