The Research and Analysis Unit manages key data sets and reports on postsecondary student enrolment, credentials, mobility and labour market outcomes in British Columbia. The Research Analyst in the Unit works both independently and collaboratively to provide research and analytical expertise on a diverse range of issues to support strategic initiatives, policy development and evaluation, and government reporting on postsecondary education.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, economics, other social science, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in each of the following (preference may be given to candidates with three (3) or more years):

    • Conducting research using a variety of quantitative and qualitative data sources and methods.

    • Gathering, synthesizing, evaluating and interpreting information from diverse sources.

    • Presenting complex data in creative, understandable, and compelling formats.

  • Advanced experience using MS Excel and other MS Office Suite Software.

  • Preference may be given to candidates with experience using data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI), and/or SQL programming language.

  • Preference may be given to candidates with experience managing stakeholder relationships.
