As a laboratory assistant, you’re analytical, detail-oriented, and organized. You are interested in the challenge and variety of performing lab collections in various locations, including community based Patient Service Centers, or performing mobile collections as operationally required, at Designated Assisted Living facilities and private homes. Working in collaboration with co-workers, other health professionals, physicians, and patients, you will solve problems and ensure a smooth, timely workflow. You can comfortably work independently and in a group setting, and will be able to manage vehicle maintenance, including scheduled service, when operationally required. Description:

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.

Preferred Qualifications:

A valid Class 5 Driver’s License with no restrictions (a graduated driver’s license (GDL) will not be accepted). Experience in blood and ECG collections.
