Reports to: Night Janitorial Supervisor & Facilities Manager

The Derrick Golf and Winter Club was established in 1959 and is Edmonton's finest family club with a variety of athletic facilities, aquatics, badminton, 18-hole championship golf course, and a variety of Food and Beverage facilities. Job Summary

Reporting to the Facilities Manager and Night Janitorial Supervisor, the Night Janitor is responsible for the evening housekeeping activities of the Club and includes but is not limited to the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Job Responsibilities:

- Dust, mop, vacuum and clean using a variety of tools, equipment, and chemicals
- Safe handling of cleaning chemicals and ensure proper usage according to the Club’s safety procedures
- Organize maintenance and custodial rooms to ensure safety and to maintain product inventory
- Maintain and organize cleaning logs
- Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
- Clean and disinfect public areas such as changing rooms, showers and elevators
- Pick up debris and empty trash containers

Working Conditions:

- The evening shift is from 9:00PM – 5:30AM

Skills and Experience

Education and Experience:

- Previous custodial experience is an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability skills, & problem-solving abilities
- Ability to stay focused and on task while balancing multiple priorities at the same time
- Highly responsible & reliable

Skills and Knowledge:

- Solid verbal communication skills
- A passion for process improvement, great problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required
