What is the opportunity?

We are looking for a Private Banker to manage and grow the Oakville area. You will be responsible for the growth of existing long-term and new profitable relationships, using a personalized and confidential approach to manage a portfolio of households requiring integrated wealth management advice and planning, sophisticated credit, banking, cash management solutions and high level service. What will you do?

  • Provide high end relationship management and advice to High-Net-Worth Canadians following all five principles of the Black Card Experience.
  • Introduce Client Relationship Team - Private Banking Associate (PBA) as key advisor on managing day to day banking needs and Manager credit Structures (MCS) as credit expert for credit advice and solutions
  • Ownership of client problem resolution, sourcing answers and leveraging expertise across RBC, escalating as required.
  • Implement practice management disciplines to ensure long term profitable growth of client portfolios; regularly review & assess progress with Manager.
  • Create & implement effective, customized client strategy documents and action plans to enhance share of wallet, retention, and profitability of existing and new client relationships.
  • Deliver solutions for complex investment and/ or other wealth management needs in partnership with other RBC High Net Worth specialists (DS, PH&N, Estate & Trust etc). Refer long term assets to RBC partners where appropriate.
  • Maintain awareness of opportunities to determine areas of operational risk or potential losses.


What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in providing advice & solutions to High Net Worth clients (both personal and business)
  • Thorough understanding of High Net Worth (HNW) financial sales and client relationship management
  • Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC) and Financial Planning designation, CFP or must be obtained within 18 months

  • CSC
  • MBA
  • Professional Designations (CFA, CA, LLB)
