Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Acquisition Specialist is a hands-on role that as part of the People team and sits at the Freshlocal Shared Services level which provides support and program development for roughly 1000 team members located in Canada and abroad.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, design, and create detailed project financials and models including budget, forecast and actuals.
  • Maintain and track the progress of complex projects and financial information such as invoices, timesheets, SOWs, accruals, COS and contract assets.
  • Support development of program and financial project status reports, financial impact assessments (scope, schedule, cost etc.) and provide reporting on key metrics and analyze trends.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain all project financial controls – identify deficiencies from a control perspective and provide recommendations.
  • Participate in Annual Operating Plan preparation and monthly, quarterly financial review, own the aspect of Tech entities.
  • Work with stakeholders within Tech on Financial performances, results and improvements and recommend course of action.
  • Prepare and analyze all capital budgeting requirements for all projects prior to implementation and communicate the scope to Finance for adequate “sign-off”.
  • Review ROI, NPV, IRR and other capital budget metrics on internal and external profitability.
  • Conduct project financial variance analysis and provide explanations both internally and for public disclosures.
  • Develop project and program dashboards that is reconciled to project GL’s.
  • Manage all cost inputs associated with any IT Government Grants (Supercluster, SRED, etc.)
  • Conducting analysis to determine allocation of intercompany costs for our organization.
  • Provides updates to FP&A and Tech management regarding project financial status updates.
  • Analyzing financial and capital budget performance within Tech.
  • Ad hoc duties, as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Commerce in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • CPA, PMP or MBA would be considered an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in project management/accounting.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in SaaS focused environment.
  • Knowledge of project accounting, project management tools and techniques.
  • Strong analysis and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively amongst various cross-functional groups.
