Eastern College Inc., Halifax campus, is actively seeking a business professional interested in joining the Halifax campus team to teach within our Business programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide quality delivery of assigned courses within the Business program, utilizing a variety of instruction strategies, techniques and delivery methods to meet the individual learning styles of the students, in a safe and civil learning environment. Instructors are responsible for teaching assigned courses in accordance with course competencies, taking daily attendance, and as required, grading class tests, assignments and exams.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a post-secondary education in business management and 3 to 5 years of practical experience in Canadian business. Experience in accounting is considered an asset. In addition, the successful candidate will have extensive advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Previous teaching experience is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a professional attitude are required to be successful in this role.
Hours of Work:
This is a part-time opportunity. Hours of work will be 8am – 12pm and/or 1pm – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Start Date:
The scheduled start for this opportunity is immediate.
Location:
