The Ministry of Social Services is seeking a strategic professional with excellent analytical and management skills for the role of Director, Program Effectiveness in the Disability Programs, Program and Service Design Branch.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the position oversees quality management through the development of assessment frameworks to ensure disability programs are effective, efficient and support the Ministry’s strategic direction.

The Director provides leadership and support to a team of analysts and consultants with responsibility for quality assurance, trend analysis and research to support policy and program design projects and operations. The unit supports decisions making, policy development and program delivery through the timely provision of information and analysis of caseloads and client information. The position provides leadership to the division’s budget and forecast development, analysis, and reporting. The Director oversees divisional core program reviews; establishes, monitors, and analyzes divisional performance measures and client outcomes; assesses and analyzes potential changes to disability programs; and oversees divisional database administration and reporting.

To be successful in this position you will have comprehensive knowledge of quality management and evaluation strategies and processes; a strong aptitude for quantitative analysis and analytics; be a leader with a demonstrated ability to understand and respond to multiple demands; be proficient in developing and maintaining professional relationships with senior managers and staff; be results oriented and accountable with the ability to exercise sound judgment in a continuously changing environment; and have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. A knowledge of disability programs and the community based organization sector would be an asset.

Typically, the successful candidate will have significant management and leadership experience and will have obtained the knowledge and abilities required for this position through a university degree(s) in a social science, public administration and/or business administration, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
