The successful candidate will work from one of the Western Region office locations (Brandon or Dauphin). Candidates who do not meet all essential criteria may be considered on an underfill basis at a commensurate rate of pay.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid full stage Manitoba Class 5 Driver's license
  • Must be able to travel as required

Qualifications:
Essential:

  • Experience in office management including setting up and maintaining office administrative systems, filing, record management systems and operational office requirements
  • Experience supervising staff
  • Experience with Accounts Receivable
  • Experience with Accounts Payable
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage change and create a positive work environment
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service and build effective relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization and public
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize a high volume workload to meet deadlines with accuracy and strict attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint),
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Experience with financial management, budgets, cash flow and variance reporting

Desired:
  • Timekeeping experience

Duties:
The Administrative Officer is responsible for ensuring the management of administrative and financial functions within a Region. Core accountabilities and responsibility include:

  • Ensuring the delivery of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Application Intake
  • Assists with the development and forecast of budgets including analysis and variance reporting and for all assigned administrative tasks such as tracking attendance and inventory management
  • Monitors and analyzes administrative business process flow and develops and implements administrative tools that contribute to the organization's efficiency and effectiveness
  • Responsible for the performance management, attendance management and workload delegation of assigned clerical staff; coordinates human resources planning including staffing submissions; vacation schedules and training plans for all staff and provides central coordination for the orientation of new employees in terms of signing authorities, delegated financial authorities and computer profiles
