The Administrative Assistant candidate registry is an on-going posting to pre-certify candidates into AR05-AR10 classification levels. Departments across government use the candidate registry to fill vacant Permanent, Term, Auxiliary-On Call, and Casual positions across all Yukon communities. Only successful pre-certified candidates have the opportunity to apply on positions when posted.

How to become pre-certified:

1. Resume submission - review the essential qualifications below prior to applying.

2. Written assessment - screened-in applicants participate in a written assessment that consists of: Spelling and grammar, Microsoft Word and Excel. Applicants that live in Yukon communities are able to use computers and space at the public library.

3. Microsoft Teams interview - Applicants that live in Yukon communities are able to use computers and space at the public library.

After pre-certification:

Pre-certified candidates are contacted through the E-recruitment system when job postings become available that they are qualified for. At that time pre-certified candidates need to demonstrate their experience for the posted position that interests them.

Candidates remain active on the registry for 12 months (1 year) from the month of their certification.

Salary range (per annum) for each level is:

AR05: $58,162 - $67,172

AR06: $59,925 - $69,242

AR07: $61,854 - $71,497

AR08: $64,104 - $74,130

AR09: $66,522 - $76,947

AR10: $69,245 - $80,145


Essential Qualifications:

To be considered for this candidate registry, you will ideally have:

AR05 to AR07: Recent experience performing a range of administrative support functions, including but not limited to: coordinating travel, scheduling, file management, processing financial transactions, and supporting internal and external clients.

AR08 to AR10: Recent experience providing administrative support to senior management, including but not limited to: managing confidential documents, managing correspondence, tracking financial/budgetary needs.

All levels: Completion of post-secondary coursework in business administration, office administration, or other related field.

Candidates with an equivalent combination of training and experience will be equally considered.
