The Ministry of Finance, Financial Systems Branch, is seeking two highly motivated and results oriented individuals to join the MIDAS Financial Team as a MIDAS Client Services Representative.
The Financial Systems Branch is responsible for the operation of the government's main financial system called MIDAS. MIDAS is made of up various applications or modules of the Oracle E-Business Suite. The MIDAS Financials, Client Services and Operations Unit is responsible for various activities including the operation of the MIDAS Financials Tier 1 Help Desk and the maintenance of the MIDAS Supplier Table.
In this position you will be responsible for a variety of activities related to the Oracle-based central financial system (MIDAS). These include:
- Providing Tier 1 MIDAS Financials Help Desk support;
- Processing MIDAS User/Responsibility Update forms;
- Processing changes to the Supplier Database;
- Maintaining and running adhoc reporting requests received from clients;
- Assisting in the daily production of the cheque and advices for supplier payments and salary payments;
- Coordinating user training sessions; and
- Providing mail desk and reception duties.
You will be attentive to detail and have exceptional analytical and problem solving skills to ensure the proper security structure when setting up and removing users in MIDAS; to update the Supplier Table; to evaluate requirements based on information provided by clients; and to evaluate requests for reports which may include recommending solutions, working with system developers, and testing changes to ensure accurate financial processing and reporting is maintained.
You will use your strong written and verbal communication skills when working with the MIDAS Financials team, Central Services IT Division and Ministry end users.

Hours of Work
: A - SGEU Office 36 - one day off every two weeks
