New Job Security Operations Centre- Coordinator In Saskatchewan

The position starts as part-time/casual to cover sick and vacations. Full-time possibility when positions open.

Environment: Industrial / Oil Located in Regina Sk.

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Must be able to stand and or sit for long periods of time (fit for duty)

Must be able to lift minimal 30 lbs.

Position:

This position will provide support to SOC Manager. Primary responsibility will be to oversee Security & Surveillance Compliance Analysts in investigations, resolve requests, delegate tasks, and dispatching of field personnel out to alarms / incidents or tasks. Protection of property through use of CCTV surveillance and provide dispatching to alarms and incidents identified.

Employee Relations:

Coaches, mentors, and provides training for analysts and assists lead hands.

Supervision: Discipline and Manage of onsite staff and administer progressive disciplinary action when necessary.

Coordinates security services with other departments and assist the security management team in the achievement of goals and objectives directly or through the security team.

Safety for all staff, contractors, and guests Card Access & Alarm Monitoring Emergency Response – Access Control – Risk Assessment

Employment Requirements:

Must be reliable, available, of sound character and be able to work in a fast-paced team environment or independently.

Ability to handle multiple situations and use sound judgment to handle emergency situations.

Must provide a Criminal Record Clearance.

Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol pre-screening - nonnegotiable.

Must provide a clean driver abstract.

Organizational and multitasking skills is a must.

Education / Training: Certified

Post-Secondary education in Policing, criminology, law, psychology, (optional)

Minimal completion of grade 12.

Minimum of 4 years security experience as a guard and/or 2 years of security supervisor experience with knowledge of Arrest authorities, trespass to property act, report writing systems, and computer applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer). Those with training and experience in same or similar environment, will be given first consideration.

Sask. Justice Security Guard Training (certificate required) WHMIS 2015: Preferred: Training can be provided (No Cost) First Aid / CPR / AED: Preferred.

Must be knowledgeable and able to assist in various systems including but not limited to CCTV (Preferred). Training can be provided (No cost) Access Control, Incident Management, intercom systems, control room systems. Incident Command Training 100 (Preferred). Training can be provided (No cost) Supervision / Managing People (Preferred). Must be able to provide coaching, training, and update manager on new trainees' progress. Training can be provided (No cost) Critical Infrastructure Training: (Preferred). Training can be provided (No cost) Emergency Preparedness Training: (Preferred). Training can be provided (No cost).

Transportation: Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license from the Province of Saskatchewan.

Must have dependable transportation to and from work.

Public transportation is available but limited for site.

Requirements:
Must be able to work on all STAT holidays.
Must be able to work rotational shifts.
Must have excellent written and verbal communications.
Must have good knowledge of basic skill set to operate CCTV system
Must be able to multitask and have attention to detail
Must be able to work within a fast-paced work environment under stressful situations Must have strong Customer Service Skills

Must be able to take direction (Written or Verbal)
