The Supervisor is responsible for assist with the training content and day to day operational support of the summer Recreation Attractions which includes Timber Challenge, Woodlot, Canopy Climb, Wind Rider Triple Zip, Rock Wall, Chutes and Lumber and Segway in addition to Tubing and Skating Guest Services in the winter. Additionally maintaining a high level of guest and employee experience. They will work in cooperation with departmental Assistant Managers and Team Leaders to ensure that the training content and standard operating procedure are both manageable for staff and are in accordance with the safety and service standard goals of these departments.

Hourly Rate: $20.09

Status: Full Time, Seasonal

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
  • Work alongside staff in all areas of the operation
  • Set clear expectations for staff, motivate, coach, & recognize great performance. Implementing new policies and procedures and ensuring compliance; provides staff with the tools that they require to complete the job and/or task expected of them.
  • Monitor the delivery of products and ensure quality meets the standards set by the department and the company; Handle customer service shortfalls and service recovery in coordination with the Assistant Manager, Recreation Attractions
  • Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of Payroll
  • Assist with on-boarding new employees, continues training and evaluating performance; assists with coordinating of staff to include hiring, scheduling, uniforms, rewards & recognitions, performance reviews and corrective coaching.
  • Prepare, execute and document a comprehensive training plan for the department. This includes all mandatory training as per the MOL; Coordination of accident/incident procedures along with documentation
  • Daily assessment of the operations to determine opening/closing times, delays of regularly scheduled operating hours etc.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
  • Post Secondary Commerce/Business degree/diploma or equivalent work experience required
  • 2 years' of leadership experience at a Supervisory level
  • Training program execution and management.
  • Labour cost control; consistently looking for efficiencies in our processes.
  • Coaching for performance. Exploring various approaches to motivate employees to maintain our service standards.
  • Service recovery. Listen and lead with empathy.
  • Guest and employee safety. Safety is our priority.
  • Product development. Anticipate the guests needs.
  • Time management. Prioritize tasks and be flexible.
  • 3-5 years of previous experience working in a Summer-based Attractions/Recreation
