The Opportunity

KPMG's growing and market-leading Global Infrastructure Advisory practice is looking for an individual who is interested in infrastructure transportation planning, innovation change management, process improvement and strategic development, to join our practice in Vancouver.

Reporting to the management and partner group of KPMG Canada's Deal Advisory Infrastructure Practice, the Process Analyst will assist our practice in the delivery of high-quality services to public sector clients. This role will apply design or systems-based thinking to solve complex problems focused on organizational transformation. You will bring planning, engineering, professional services, or industry expertise to the team.

What you will do


  • Work on multidisciplinary teams to deliver on a variety of projects.
  • Communicate with different parties such as clients and other advisors.
  • Prepare and distribute reports and proposals.
  • Prepare proposals for RFP submissions.
  • Perform research, data gathering and analysis.
  • Develop process maps to optimize and streamline processes.
  • Assist with the development and review of engagement reports and technical project reviews.
  • Conduct interviews and work with stakeholders.
  • Participate in strategic advice to clients based on detailed analysis.
  • Assist in preparing strategic plans, business plans and business cases.
  • Contribute to a dedicated team of professionals in delivering advisory services to clients.
What you bring to the role


  • A relevant degree in urban studies, planning, business, economics, or similar area.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a relevant industry.
  • Ability to write complex reports for a diverse range of audiences, including executive private and public sector audiences.
  • Ability to design and conduct stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Ability to prepare and co-present PowerPoint presentations.
  • A team-oriented attitude, an ability to work in a self-guided manner and as part of an integrated team.
  • Proven capability of working within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to communicate and engage with diverse groups.
  • Thorough technical, critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Flexibility to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Excellent analysis and computer skills.
  • Ability to travel within Canada and abroad, as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in data collection and analysis.
  • Experience writing strategies, business plans and business cases.
  • Experience with lean six sigma, streamlining processes, or change management.
  • Experience with design- or systems-based thinking.
  • Experience working with public sector.
