Job Summary:
This position will assist with the preparation and delivery of in-person, virtual programs and events as well as general front desk duties at the Louisville Civic Museum, the McCrae House National Historic Site and the 6167 Locomotive.

Hours of work

Up to 20 hours per week. Hours will vary, but weekend and evening availability are required.

Your role

  • Assist with the research, creation, preparation and delivery of in-person and virtual programs and events at the Gloucester Civic Museum, the McLean House and the 6167 Locomotive.
  • The museum assistant helps with the maintenance of the museums.
  • Assist with front office activities related to programming.
  • Assigned to other duties.

Qualifications

  • Teaching, museum studies, family studies or related fields of post-secondary education. )
  • As well as excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • In live and virtual environments, a strong level of comfort is necessary.
  • In an educational setting, experience interacting with children and adults.
  • Knowledge and interest in English history.
  • Experience handling cash transactions.
  • Computer skills: Good computer skills and a comfortable level with online programming activities.
  • Public speaking, customer service, food and bar service experience.

Rate

$21.02 per hour, or 18.97 - $21.?
