The Ministry of Highways is seeking a highly motivated Traffic Guidance Assistant within the Provincial Operational Services Branch. A key responsibility for this position is the protection of employee and traffic safety through accurate data management. This position will be headquartered in Toronto, with an estimated term of 11 months ending on August 31, 2024.

In this position you will work.

• Organize and conduct desktop and field surveys in order to direct the installation of signs, pavement markings.
• Manage communication related to third party surveying of underground utilities and signal installation work sites, he said.
• Capture, enter, update, and import data into several databases.
• Export data and report from several databases, including:
• Monitor, measure and control the performance of contractors in the case of private delivery of signs.
• The FTC says it protects employees and traffic safety by managing accurate data.
• possesses a class 5 driver's license.

Typically, the competencies required for this position would be obtained through a Civil Engineering Technology Diploma, a Geomatics Engineering Technology diploma, an engineering degree or a combination of education and experience.

Hours of Work : C - SGEU Regulated 37.33 - one day off every three weeks
