Scotiabank is embarking on a major initiative to modernize end to end Payments technology and processes. The result of the modernization program will enable the bank to offer enrich information and transparencies to support the rapidly evolving payments community. The technical lead will be working with a group or talented technology professional to design build and support mission critical applications. This role will require candidate to be highly technical while keep up with business & operational architectures. This role provides opportunity to become subject matter expert in the highly demanded Swift Payments environment, and room to continuously grow influences and responsibilities within a fast-growing domain

  • Extensive technical knowledge is used to design and implement technology solutions, either centrally or locally.
  • Convert operational issues into reusable end-to-end solutions, facilitate technical setup, and support deployment across the company.
  • Build globally applicable, reusable solutions that will serve all BBS business segments across various geographical areas.*
  • Engage in proactive collaboration with business line representatives to enhance technology solutions that align with company strategy.
  • Keep on top of constantly evolving technological developments by incorporating innovative concepts and cutting-edge technology into solution design and team discussions.
  • Communicate all concepts and guidelines to the development team in a clear and concise manner.
  • Manage the development team's progress to maintain a proper alignment with the original design.'
  • Tutor and mentor developers and engineers in technical skills.'
  • Confirm all necessary requirements for software quality, security and extensibility. This includes code editing capabilities.
