The work schedule for this position is: 08.
- Full Time (40 hours per week) and Part Time (40 hour per week) are full time.
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (3 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Duties
The job holder participates in SD operations as part of a tactical team of SD personnel. This includes daily operational supervision of a 3 member SD unit (SDU). The job is responsible for the operation of the SD equipment assigned to the SDU. The SD Coordinator oversees all SD personnel on a daily basis.
Job holder provides on-the-job training for newly hired SD Guards.
Qualifications and Evaluations
At least one (1) year of experience in the military, police, or private security industry is required. Additionally, a minimum of six (6) months of supervisory experience or equivalent experience is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of surveillance techniques. Familiarity with local pedestrian and vehicular traffic patterns and habits, experience in the preparation of reports and schedules, awareness of cultural norms and customs is required

Languages: English level II (Limited knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking; French level III (Good working knowledge) Reading-Writing/ Speaking; this may be tested.Level III requires proficiency in spoken language.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must possess a driver license. Ability to manage the work of others in a team environment is required. Prepare oral and written reports, and operate communications SD equipment and cameras. Basic computer skills are required, to include keyboarding with accuracy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Word and Excel.

Benefits and Other Info
The U.S. Mission in Quebec City is currently providing a salary of $40,000 per year to all Locally Employed Staff, which includes members of the family (MOHs) and Third-Centry nationals (NCNs). These employees may be eligible for benefits such as health benefits, termination benefits, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.

A “certification” is any written document from the armed forces that certifies the service member is expected to be discharged or released from active duty service in the armed forces under honorable conditions within 120 days after the certification is submitted by the applicant. The certification letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and (2) the character of service. Acceptable documentation must be submitted in order for the preference to be given.
** This level of preference applies to all Foreign Service employees on LWOP and CS with re-employment rights back to their agency or bureau.
