Duties

• Provide continuous internal and external random patrols of hospital property, ensuring that hospital policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Contribute to and facilitate the provision of a safe environment for patients, employees and visitors which supports the University Health Network's mission, goals and vision. In compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations.
• Pat patrol, monitor and secure hospital property.
• Provide a safe environment that supports the mission, goals, and vision of the hospital as well as investigating all forms of property loss, theft, and damage.
• Emergency codes and calls for assistance are handled following established hospital policy and procedures, enforcing parking rules to maintain order.
• As assigned and/or required, perform cross functional duties.

Qualifications

• Completing grade XII or equivalent grade.
• Completion of a Law Enforcement/Law Security diploma from a recognized institution Security
  program, or equivalent.
• Current & Valid Security License in accordance with the Private Security and Investigative
  Services Act of Ontario
• In MS Word, Excel and Outlook, demonstrated computer literacy.
• Demonstrated complete and accurate report writing skills.
• How can I work shifts on short notice and as needed?
• I have 5 years of experience in cybersecurity. How can I improve my skills?
• Excellent problem recognition skills and ability to proactively achieve resolutions both
  through direction and negotiation.
• Demonstrates knowledge of federal and provincial laws.
• How do I improve my interpersonal and customer service skills?
• Completing a Crisis Intervention Certificate is preferred. )
• Legal awareness and use of force, tactical communications preferred certification. )
• Excellent judgment and excellent communication skills in emergency situations.
• Completing a Basic Life Support (B.C.) program, preferred?
