The project manager assumes leadership, responsibility, and control over the project team's work as outlined in the project management services. The product of the project's work must meet the specified business requirements; technical performance; cost, time, and schedule, he said.

The project manager manages medium to large scale acute care, long-term care and community health projects and major corporate projects that support program needs and improve service delivery through project feasibility, design, development, testing, implementation and post-implementation review.

Essential Qualifications

• Post-graduate education in business administration, project management or related field.
• Experience supporting the delivery and implementation of complex projects, including projects where regular operations must be maintained throughout project implementation.
• Experience building and sustaining effective working relationships with stakeholders and partners.
• Using electronic systems that support project management such as Excel, Jira, Asana, PowerPoint, Visual Paradigm and Visio. Experience:
• Project Management Certification (PMP, CAPM, etc.) would be considered an asset.

Education, training and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above can be considered equally. *

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience.
The candidates should have knowledge and may be assessed on:

• Strong ability to communicate both oral and written through various mediums such as project status reports and presentations.
• Excellent ability to collaboratively engage with multiple and diverse stakeholders and use positive influence to work through projects.
• Ability to define project goals and work plans with timelines and deliverables to ensure early integration of projects.
• Demonstrated ability to proactively manage changes in project scope, identify risks and develop contingency plans where appropriate.
• Change management, facilitation, negotiation and problem solving skills.
• Ability to foster cooperative and effective working relationships.
