The Manager, Federal Contributions and Relationships, reports to the Director, Financial Services. The Manager develops, negotiates, implements, and manages agreements between the Government of Canada (GN) and the Federal Government and third parties, which include other GN departments, Crown Corporations and Municipalities, regarding investments in transformative public infrastructure in Nunavut. The Manager provides objective analysis, support, and advice to capital planning decision makers in various GN departments for these crucial infrastructure projects.

The Manager is responsible for coordinating applications for federal funding and obtaining input from staff across the Department of Community and Government Services, other departments, and Crown Corporations. They will also work with other staff to develop plans, implement new applications, implement new procedures, and monitor results, and fulfill other financial requirements. The Manager will also manage the human and financial resources of the Federal Contributions and Relationships Unit and work independently with minimal supervision.

Typically, a job seeker must possess a degree that accurately reflects their knowledge, skills, and abilities, and have at least five (5) years of financial management experience, including contracts and financial analysis. Additionally, one (1) year of progressive supervisory or management experience is required. A CPA designation will be considered an asset, not a degree.

Nunavut has three official languages: Inuktut, English, and French. Applicants can submit their resume in any of the three official languages of Nunavutar. Fluency in two or more of the country's official languages would be advantageous. Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, land, culture, and language, and experience working in a cross-cultural environment are also important.
