The Opportunity:
The Immigration Service is seeking two term immigration officers to work within the Ministry of Immigration and Career Training, Saskatchewan's current and future workforce needs, and economic development goals. The Immigration Officer plays an important role in attracting and retaining immigrants, helping to improve the socio-economic outcomes of immigrants who settle here.
Your responsibilities include reporting to the Supervisor, Immigrants.
- Performing detailed review and assessment of applications from individuals who wish to immigrate to Saskatchewan, Canada.
- developing working relationships with related federal and provincial agencies and other stakeholders, and developing.
- Consulting with government, community, employer and other stakeholders to implement immigration strategies in Saskatchewan.
The success of this role requires :
- What is the knowledge of labour market trends, needs and issues in Saskatchewan?
- The ability to search and assess data/information, the ability of information.
- The ability to assess complex information, and make eligibility decisions?
- The ability to work independently or collaboratively with other team members, and with other stakeholders, to meet the needs of the Ministry and its customers.

Typically, the knowledge and experience required to achieve this is obtained through a bachelor's degree in business administration or commerce. An equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered.
An eligibility list will be in effect for 6 months from the closing date, as other term opportunities arise.
