The City of Fort Saskatchewan has an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented, progressive leader. The general manager of Corporate Services is a member of the city's leadership team and provides visionary, strategic leadership for the organization and its employees. Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide advice to the city manager and elected officials in establishing strategic objectives and delivering telecommunications services with a focus on fostering a positive workplace culture, based on company values. )

Qualifications

The General Manager of Corporate Services will have a systems thinking'' perspective along with an advanced level of communication and interpersonal skills, this person will lead the development of major strategic initiatives while demonstrating high political acumen and diplomacy. This position requires the completion of a post-secondary education =-=-- =---=-, supplemented by extensive management and leadership training that can be used to promote a people-focused workplace.

Fort Saskatchewan, home to more than 27,000 people, is a vibrant economic and cultural hub located in the Treaty 6 Territory and the Métis Nation of Alberta - south of Fort Saskatchewan. The city manages recreation, culture and historical amenities including a performing arts theater and a fitness centre within the Dow Centennial Center and the historic 1875-85 NWMP Fort Saskatchewan Representative in the heart of downtown Edmonton.
