THE DIVISION:
The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) leads strategy, policy and standards for telecommunications, information technology, IT security and the management of the IM/IT investment portfolio for the Province.

The OCIO Enterprise Services division enables government to provide services to citizens by providing high quality, secure and cost-effective information management and technology services.

THE ROLE:
The Financial Support Analyst assists Team Lead, Budget and Accounting in managing the branch’s operating/capital/FTE/Recoveries budget and forecast, including analysis of expenditure trends, variances, accrual adjustments and FYE reconciliations; maintains financial systems and databases required for analysis; initiates and tracks reallocations of resources. The position will cover for the procurement clerk’s duties when necessary.

Job Requirements:

  • School graduation plus formal financial management course work, or equivalent.
  • Experience in conducting financial forecasting and analysis and support for financial evaluation processes for multiple business areas.
  • Experience in the coordination of financial data for the preparation of budgets.

  • Experience developing financial statements and reports.

  • Successful completion of security screening requirements by the BC Public Service, which may include a criminal records check and/or Criminal Records Review (CCRA) check as required by the Ministry (Note: It is important that you read the job posting carefully to understand the specific security screening requirements pertaining to the position).
