How You Will Contribute:

As a Financial Consultant - Early Career Segment, you will be responsible for prospecting, retaining and growing M&A's market share in the medical student, resident and new physician communities.

• You will build rapport and trust with your customers through active listening and developing an appreciation of what's important to them, based on their level of understanding and interest, tailored to their specific needs and goals.
• You will be responsible for completing financial plans addressing the areas of goal setting, cash flow/budgeting, debt and education funding, investment management, medical practice incorporation/planning, tax mitigation, risk management and retirement planning.
• You recommend investing strategies based on management consulting's developed and managed optimal portfolio ranges, ensuring compliance with all industry regulations, program and process requirements, and the Scotiabank risk appetite and culture.
• You will prepare and execute quarterly business plans to assist in the meeting of individual, regional, and company goals.
• You will participate in and/or conduct financial planning seminars and other Early Career Events throughout the region to enlighten clients through financial literacy and management consulting offerings. '
• You will partner with the marketing and management team concerning new product development and marketing.

• An appreciation for compliance -- an understanding of the internal workings of the MFMC, including internal trading rules, stock exchange rules, industry regulations and associated requirements, and the recommendations of the Investment Dealers' Association in Canada. • The ability to work independently and as part of a larger team.
• A high level of comfort with technology to support CRM and virtual meetings.
• Confidence - in yourself, in your products, and in the business.
• Marketing strategy - the ability to identify opportunities for new product and service enhancements, actively seeking business opportunities through the engagement of various channels, such as accountants, lawyers, residents, and clinic owners.
• Confidence in both presenting recommendations to potential clients and asking for referrals.
• An commitment to an outstanding client experience - consistently delivering an exemplary experience, ensuring accuracy in the administration of all client transactions, and facilitating the resolution of client concerns.

The Must Haves:

• A university degree in commerce, business or equivalent, related to the practice of financial planning.
• IROC is a registered representative (RR) in India?
• Completing the Canadian Securities Course, the Conduct and Practices Handbook and 90 days of training is preferred, but MFDA-licensed candidates will be considered.
• Completing a life license and willing to complete other required requirements.
• Ability to travel
• In Canada's two official languages, proficiency is an asset.
