New Job Driver Recruitment Specialist In Manitoba

We are currently seeking an outgoing, self-motivated professional to fill the role of Driver Recruitment Specialist within our transportation division at our head office located in downtown Winnipeg, MB. This is an onsite role.
Using your creative energy, this individual will execute recruiting strategies that will enable the company to meet current and/or anticipated staffing needs. This individual will work closely with the General Manager to understand the local market, research, and headhunt potential candidates along with managing the full cycle recruiting process (posting to offer). As a key member of our team, you will also help support ongoing projects, data entry, file maintenance, and other administrative tasks as needed. This role is best suited for someone who could multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• As directed, manage all field recruiting activities for Peter company in a timely manner to ensure vacant and new positions are filled with the best available people.
• Assist with onboarding documentation for new hire.
• create job descriptions and manage print advertising online.
• Interviews and meetings with different management teams.
• Conduct new hire orientation and collaborate with management on training plans.
• Actively build relationships with rural communities to ensure our brand is recognized and represented.
• Participate in college recruiting efforts through participation in Career Fairs and other post-secondary events.
• Review current programs, policy and practices. Suggest improvements?
• As assigned, provide administrative support to the unit and other duties.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Human resources: post-graduate education preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in recruitment, HR or other administrative role.
• Cold calling and head hunting are considered an asset with strong sourcing skills. '
• In the transportation industry, experience is required.
• In agriculture, or in Western Canada, rural recruitment is considered an asset.
• Exceptional commitment to customer service with demonstrated ability to build relationships at various levels.
