A job application is open for the position of Customer Service Assistant II at the University of Louisville, within the Culture and Recreation Department, Public Services. The customer service assistant will provide reception, customer support and sales support at the Gilancing Civic Museum and the McLean House. Request details
Hours of work
Up to 20 hours per week. Hours will vary, but weekend and evening availability are required.
Your role
- This position is responsible for reception and sales activities at the Museum. Specifically, this position is responsible for:
- Open and close the museum admission door, and open and close the Museum of History at the University of Louisville.
- The museum welcomes visitors and directs them to the appropriate people and places within the museum.
- Collecting admissions.
- Processing memberships and gift shop sales.
- Answering telephone enquiries.
- Monitor security cameras.
- Providing exceptional customer service.
- Assigned to other duties.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience related to the listed duties, gained through a post-graduate degree or diploma in another field. '
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
- Can work with technology, including software, database and point of sale systems.
- Past perfect and perfect minds are an asset.
- He enjoys interacting with the public.
- Affinity for the work of art, including the preservation of local history and an commitment to truth, reconciliation, and the inclusion of people who have traditionally been underrepresented in museums and our narratives.
