JOB TITLE: Coordinator, Community Programs
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Reporting to the Recreation Supervisor, the Coordinator Community Programs ensures the provision of quality recreation program delivery and customer service excellence to meet current and changing needs of the community.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $84,403.00 - $94,954.00 per annum
MAXIMUM OF SALARY RANGE: $105,504.00 per annum

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Reporting to the Recreation Supervisor, the Coordinator Community Programs ensures the provision of quality recreation program delivery and customer service excellence to meet current and changing needs of the community.
Supervision, Leadership and Staff Development
- To meet business needs, the company will recruit, train, manage, and provide guidance to promote effective employee relations across all levels, including full- and part-time work, as well as moral and innovation.
- For action plan to ensure program quality assurance.
- Manage compliance with governing laws and regulations, including company policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
- Conduct assessment of training requirements, and manage the delivery of training programs, orientations, and meetings.
- Ensure that employees are aware of their technical skills and current knowledge, while also ensuring that employees are well-prepared for any potential problems, as well as providing ongoing updates.
Administration
- Review documentation of incident/accident reports and manage follow-up appropriately, applying appropriate follow-up actions and guidance to teams, volunteers, and customers; modifying programs and services to ensure program and service operation is safely and correctly managed.
- Convey reports for Recreation Supervisor that may include data analysis, consumer feedback, revenue, and expenses, as well as data collection and analysis of data, among other things.
- Managing and reviewing daily, weekly and monthly statistics and checklists. Manage and review checklists.
- Ensure compliance with membership extensions, suspensions, and payroll verification.
- Respect to all prescribed dates. Adherence to all mandated deadlines.
- The facility's quality assurance program, where participants take part.
- Ensure payment/documentation compliance with corporate standards while managing payments and invoices as per company standards.
Customer Service and Community Development
- Continuous improvement through anticipating, addressing, and resolving issues, requests, and successes through proactive management and customer experience. This includes anticipating issues, managing requests, and obtaining successes.
- Communicate with community leaders, groups, and sponsors, and external organizations.
- Community-wide community needs assessment is a continual process.
- Manage community events (including follow-up reports and debriefing) and their management (including attendance and management)?
- Identify and implement measures to boost customer acquisition and retention.
Program Development
- Detailed information on trends and growth areas, including future prospects. Report back.
- Maintain high-quality programming by conducting continuous program visits and managing quality program visits.
- Manage program development and brochure production processes. Identify and implement the following.
- Develop action plans to meet target goals and potential growth. Implementation plans are used to meet growth targets.
- Recreation Supervisor assists with marketing and business plan preparation. Additionally, they also provide support.
- Manage internal marketing of community centre programs through community centre programs.
Budget
- Develop revenue plans to boost financial stability.
- Report, coordinate, analyze, and supervise the submission of budgets, actuals, and forecasts to the Supervisor by collecting, coordinating, reporting, analyzing, and reporting.
- To ensure that the budget complies with the sign offs and approvals, it is necessary to manage the current budget related to program area expenses and ensure that they meet the required sign off and approvals.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
EDUCATION:
- Post-secondary education or a diploma preferably in a related field (i.e., Gerontology, Recreation and Leisure, Kinesiology, or Physical Education)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- At least 3 years of experience in recreation programming and/or facility management; 3 years of Experience in recreation programming or facility management; minimum 3 years of experiences in facility management.
OTHER SKILLS AND ASSETS:
- Excellent public relations skills and the ability to interact with the public effectively. Highly regarded.
- Experienced supervisor/team lead working with team members and volunteers for one year. This is a must-have.
- Acquires knowledge of provincial and other legislative requirements related to the program discipline.
- Budgeting and financial management, including exposure.
- Proficiency in MS Office
