Many of the work done by the incumbent will be completed within isolated communities with limited supports, such as child and family services, career development and training, and adoptions. These services aim to help strengthen and enhance the well-being of residents of Nunavut and its communities. The ability to work together in this area is a vital part of that regard.''

Qualifications required: a minimum of a bachelor's degree in social work plus 1 year of child protection experience. A class 5 driver's license or ability to get one within four months from beginning employment is an asset. Ability to read and write professional reports, is a highly desirable position. As well as the desire to obtain and maintain a child support appointment.

Equivalents that consist of an acceptable combination of education, experience, knowledge and abilities may include a degree in Social Work or Social Science suited to a general social service program. - Education and Experience
