BOOKING CLERK

Regular Part Time

Our Business Services team in the Parks, Recreation, Culture and Facilities Department is looking for one Regular Part Time Booking Clerk. You will be working with the public and community groups to assist with the centralized booking of all facilities within the Parks, Recreation, Culture and Facilities department. You will coordinate and process bookings of halls, meetings rooms, gyms, indoor and outdoor pools, fields and courts, and ice rinks. You will further prepare and maintain a variety of files, records and data associated with the bookings. As well, you will utilize your excellent communication and customer service skills to assist and provide information to the public relating to the bookings. The successful candidates will have completed high school, including or supplemented by commercial, computer operation and typing courses, as well as 3 years of related experience. An equivalent combination of training and experience may also be considered. A Drivers License for the Province of BC is required (with satisfactory driving record). Please note that relevant clerical experience, and/or customer service experience are considered assets. As well, experience working in a recreational setting and with recreation software such as Xplor Recreation (formerly called PerfectMind) is also considered an asset.

Please note that this positions works a non-standard work week. You will be working 25 hours/week, 3 days at 6 hours/day, and 1 day at 7 hours/day. The position works Saturdays on rotation, working 2 weeks of consecutive Saturdays and the 3rd week, not working on Saturday.

A CUPE hourly rate of $25.86-30.29 (2022 rates) per hour as well as an excellent benefits package are offered by the City.
