Please note that the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has approved changes to pay rates for the Executive (EX) Group, which are aligned with those recently announced by the Treasury Board.
The Quebec region is looking for dynamic, collaborative and strategic leaders with a proven track record to contribute to the delivery of services to Canadians by combining leadership with established competences. The CRA's approach of "Leading from who you are" is recognized as an important part of the CRA''s leadership practice.
As a CA, Regional Operations in Quebec, your primary focus will be to ensure effective management of the Agency's operations in the region within the allocated resources and consistent with Agency objectives and spending priorities.
As a CA, the Quebec Regional Operation Center will be responsible for delivering the development of corporate objectives, ethical policy and performance standards, as well as for the implementation of Transformative-Agency assurances.')
Essential Requirements:
Occupy a position within the Federal Public Service, including Crown companies and agencies at EX-03 group level (or equivalent) or higher (see note 1). If you are an eligible veteran or member of the Canadian Armed Forces, you also apply.
Have a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution (see note 2).
Have a strong performance record and evidence of readiness to assume responsibilities at the EX-04 level.
Have recent and extensive experience at senior executive level or equivalent (see note 3) in the following four (4) essential experience criteria:

Providing strategic leadership and direction in the development or implementation of complex policy initiatives, programs and strategies.

Providing strategic advice, recommendations and briefings to senior officials on complex and sensitive issues (see note 5).

Establishing and maintaining relationships with various internal and external stakeholders, such as other departments, agencies, non-governmental organizations, and Indigenous groups, or the private sector. ) Other levels of government;

Managing significant financial and human resource matters is demonstrated by the number of direct and indirect reports, and the dollar figures of the directly managed budgets for each position.
Notes:

Candidates must hold a Substantive EX-03 position (or equivalent) or higher. at the time of application.

Degree: is defined as a baccalaureate or higher level degree.

Recent and extensive experience at the senior executive level is normally acquired at the EX-03 level or equivalent and above for a period of at least two consecutive years in the past five years.

Senior officials is defined as Minister, Senior Ministerial Officials, Deputy Ministers or Assistant Deputy Ministers.

Complex and sensitive issues are issues with at least three (3) of the following characteristics: multidimensional, sensitive, confidential, affecting many partners or stakeholders, precedent setting, having a major impact on the public service or public, having potential for significant media coverage or could become controversial in the public domain.

Individuals occupying a position in the EX-04 substantive group and level must submit an application if they are interested in being considered.

Preference may be given to candidates:
- Who is identified as a member of one of the following groups: women, people with disabilities, indigenous peoples and visible minority?
- Who possess more depth, breadth and relevance of experience.
This experience would be considered an asset or a disadvantage.
- Experience in negotiating and consulting on policy priorities and representing the Government of Canada's interest with senior private sector representatives and/or government officials from other countries.
- Experience in managing large scale operations and a decentralized organization.
- Experience in leading regional operations at large decentralized organizations.
- Working experience interacting with and providing strategic advice to Chief Executive Officers and/or Boards of Directors.
What are the conditions of employment at the time of appointment?

- Willingness to travel.
- Willingness to move into the greater Montreal area.
- Not currently located in the Greater Montreal area or within commuting distance must indicate their willingness to relocate. Failure to do so at the time of application may result in being excluded from the hiring process.
- All appointments (except for acting appointments) to the Executive Board and within the Executive Committee at the CRA are subject to the Agreement for the laterally moved provision as a compulsory condition of employment, which is included in the Directive on Terms and Conditions of Employment for the EX Group.

- Reference checks: You will be required to provide the names and coordinates of two most recent supervisors. The Staffing Board reserves the right to contact references other than those provided by the applicants, if found necessary, to adequately assess the applicants. The Staffing Board may also consider using reference checks completed from a previous staffing process at the EX level.
- Mobility: You must indicate your willingness to relocate to the Quebec Region if you do not reside within commuting distance.
- The second language evaluation (SLE) results are as follows: : You will be asked to indicate your SLE Results with the expiration date.
- What is talent management and job performance? : You will be asked to indicate your performance rating and talent placement for the last two years.

Performance results will be used to confirm a record of strong performance as an executive and evidence of readiness for senior executive responsibilities. Character Leadership Interview
The CRA is looking to evaluate candidates who meet the previous assessment criteria, where leadership will be assessed through courage, drive, accountability, transcendence, humanity, integrity, justice and judgment. Dimensions of the Byzantine character are apparent''.
