Full Description

This competition will be used to immediately fill a full time term position until April 19, 2024.

This competition will also be used to fill anticipatory full time and part time Permanent or Term positions.

The Income Support Unit is looking for motivated, collaborative Social Workers who are committed to providing supports to clients who require assistance in the areas of income support, employment, crisis management and community living.

These positions provide case management and coordination services, social assistance, employment supports and disability-related supports with the goal of increasing independence and inclusion in the community. Other responsibilities may include: participating in the development and implementation of branch services, and providing liaison and resource assistance to professionals, paraprofessionals, and the general public.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
  • Experience developing and implementing case plans collaboratively with clients
  • Experience in social services working directly with complex clients

Additional Information
Conditions of Employment: Security Clearance with Vulnerable Sector; valid Class 5 driver’s licence or equivalent, as well as a copy of Bachelor of Social Work degree.
